Veterinary Medicine Program of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Pamplona train professionals ethical, scientific and technological capacity, with powers to protect animal health and public health from the viewpoint of preventive medicine, with productivity and sustainability, taking as central to teaching, research and social interaction.

Professional Profile
The Professional Veterinary Medicine will be able to:
• Develop plans for health farms according to the needs of the area, region and nation.
• Providing technical assistance private holdings.
• Serve in the teaching area according to their profile.
• Participate actively in livestock programs at the administrative level Municipal, Provincial and National.
• Establish sanitary preventive approach.

Infrastructure
The Veterinary Medicine program offers mediation to ensure the learner teaching proper appropriation of knowledge, ie, multimedia classrooms, traditional classrooms and auditoriums guide lectures. Besides this, the Veterinary Medicine program is based on the Experimental Farm Villamarina to guide their theoretical and practical courses on farms near the city of Pamplona and elsewhere in Norte de Santander and surrounding departments as Santander, Arauca, Cesar and South Guajira. Students have laboratories of Veterinary Anatomy, Histology, Pathology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Immunology, Nutrition, cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, animal reproduction and clinic laboratory which provide the necessary conditions for the appropriation of knowledge in the field of medicine Veterinary. The Veterinary Centre, University of Pamplona becomes the main stage from which the program students acquire skills, and clinical and surgical skills sufficient to address the different diseases of small animals.
