In the course of Unimonte, you can act on health and the development of production of domestic and wild animals. Involved with planning and implementing programs of animal health protection, environmental impact assessment or agribusiness. The student is supervised practical activities from the first year of college at the Veterinary Hospital of Unimonte, the most modern in the region, and the latest venture of the Institution, the Center for Screening of Wild Animals - CETAS, first of its kind existing in the whole coast of São Paulo.
The course as a professional to work in pluralistic health of domestic and wild animals (prevention and cure of disease) by improving production, quality and supervision of medicines and foods of animal origin, the planning and execution of defense programs animal health (in the area of zoonoses), and the environmental impact assessment and their influence on wildlife in the region. Also educates the students of the importance of agribusiness in Brazil and abroad, in view of the complexity of the globalized reality.
Compulsory internship of 420 hours. Part of the compulsory training is conducted at our institution. The student is supervised in practical activities in the Veterinary Hospital Unimonte. Another opportunity for students to develop experience is the Screening Center of Wildlife - CETAS. In addition, Unimonte has over 2000 agreements with companies from Santos and São Paulo, including exclusive partnerships in the region.
To provide more knowledge to the student, the Academic Unit Jockey Club, the Veterinary Hospital University of Unimonte offers care to animals of small, medium and large companies, and also the wildlife (birds, turtles, among others). The structure creates an environment for the specific training of future veterinarians accompanying the activities of animal and clinical pathology, ECG, radiology and ultrasound, and from general medical and surgical.
The Screening Center of Wild Animals - CETAS serve as an organ of student support, being the first of its kind existing in the whole coast of São Paulo. The Centre will deal with animals from illegal trade in wild animals seized by the Environmental Police and IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources). The physical structure of Unimonte also has ongoing modernization, with computer labs, libraries and classrooms air conditioned.
The course offers students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities as the campaign to stimulate the adoption of dogs and cats promoted by the Environment Secretariat of Santos, the attendance at the Veterinary Hospital of the University Unimonte and horse racing at the Hippodrome Vicentino.

Farms, dairy farms and cutting, large abattoirs, as well as dealing with aquatic animals. Private clinics, zoos, aquariums, large, and also providing the industry, researching and developing new materials, food and medicine to several species or even in programs and projects for protecting their health.
