The profile of the veterinary surgeon has graduated from UPF generalist, with strong performance in the areas of animal production, animal health, public health and agricultural extension among small, medium and large properties. The clinician should encourage and engage in projects of pork, poultry, dairy cattle, sheep and cutting basic activities typical of the agricultural module, in addition to being an entrepreneur, activating your own business.
The job market for veterinary surgeon is expanding. The trained professional can act in the main animal production chains, in the inspection of animal products, veterinary clinics and government agencies for review. Specifically in relation to the graduating of Veterinary Medicine, supervised the internship provides students with the approach of the labor market, which is reflected in the high employability. According to a survey conducted by the course, over 95% of graduates of the UPF are satisfied with the training they received, and are well placed in the labor market specific to your area.

With the recent curriculum reform, the course became more agile, flexible and competitive, contemplating restructuring of disciplines, offering new courses, elective courses and supplementary activities. The regulation also had supervised traineeship changes, therefore improving student achievement in this important tool to prepare for transition from academic life to professional life.
