The course aims to establish a professional with extensive capabilities to act in various areas of veterinary medicine.
Medicine and Surgery: Designed for professionals who want to devote to medical and surgical care for pets small and large. It would be the veterinarian "traditional", which operates clinics and hospitals.
Inspection of animal products: Area intended for veterinarians who will be responsible for assessment and inspection of animal products - such as milk and dairy products, meats, eggs, etc. - which will be marketed for human consumption. The veterinarian is a trained professional to ensure quality and safety of such products.
Preventive Veterinary Medicine: Designed for professionals who will dedicate their studies to research and production of new vaccines to eradicate diseases caused by animals, such as leptospirosis, hantavirus, etc.. It is one of the areas of performance related to public health.
Production: Area where the veterinarians will work on creating beef cattle, for milk, poultry for beef, pigs, rabbits, sheep and goats for slaughter, as well as fish farming. It is a very comprehensive involving agribusiness.
Thus, the egress of professional CEULJI / ULBRA, is able to act in all sectors of animal production and health, contributing to the generation of economic and social development through the interaction between man / animal.
The teaching of Veterinary Medicine is based on theoretical and practical lessons, they taught in several laboratories.
Veterinary Hospital, where in addition to medical and surgical care of different animal species, students combine their theoretical knowledge to practical experience, one of the goals of the course place the students in our reality, practical classes are also held in visits to farms, stores, agricultural industries, in addition to participation in planning and guidance to farmers, through extension projects entered and executed with the community, thus the course of Veterinary Medicine of CEULJI / ULBRA is able to train professionals to act fully in current job market
