The Course of Veterinary Medicine, School of Biomedical Sciences Cacoal - FACIMED aimed at critical reflection on teaching practice to improve teaching. The exercise of citizenship is seen as a daily contact, because the social practices, political, cultural and communication dimensions that are part of the life of every citizen. Respect each other and the public key to citizenship should also be initiated in the relations of daily living, family, community, travel and business. Treatment contextualized content represents a resource for students taking the position of mere passive spectator. Thus, the teaching methodology seeks the context of the student closer and more easily explainable to give meaning and usefulness to the learning content such as personal life, and everyday living.
The everyday and the relationships with the social and physical environment should give meaning to the curriculum content, bridging the gap between what we do, lives and observes the day-to-day. In the education program, course staff on a humanistic philosophy and seek to provide training critical and questioning. Below is a range of holistic, considering the human being inseparable in their various aspects and valuing the global analysis of organizational and social phenomena. Value is, the plurality of thought, understanding the conflict of ideas as fruitful and important for the training desired.
The Course of Veterinary Medicine, School of Biomedical Sciences Cacoal - FACIMED has in its curriculum model a total of 4.720horas/aula. Teachers will be encouraged to research in their respective areas of knowledge and vocation-teaching professional, so the success of the proposal will undergo a rigorous selection of teachers, and a continued evaluation plan as Institutional Assessment.
The course of Veterinary Medicine, is the form of professionals who are able to propose technical solutions compatible with the specific needs of all farmers, whether small, medium or large producers and assist them in conducting their projects and programs to achieve maximum productivity. Suiting the needs of society, seeking today, the formation of a professional generalist, more eclectic, with an updated view of the true role of the productive sector, the reality of a fully globalized world. The challenges posed by this new pluralistic vision forced them to reflect critically on the formulation of their programs and curriculum development strategies, tailoring them to the needs and characteristics of each region.
