The Veterinary Medicine course aim is to form professionals who can work at clinical and surgical areas dedicated to domestic and wild animals. The Veterinarian work area includes trade and fabrication of animal products, cold storage plants and butchery inspection, law investigation, and health examination for sport competitions and exhibitions. The cattle breeding, and preparation and inspection of animal food are also linked to the Veterinarian activities.
The course is applied at the Veterinary Hospital in Dois Irmaos and at Bovine Clinic Advanced Campi, in Garanhuns, searching on biotechnology the animal reproduction, for better and more numerous cattle.
Veterinarians can work in private and public companies, as autonomous, developing inspection activities for public and the animal health, on clinical and surgical Veterinary, zoos, parks, medicine laboratories, animal cooperatives and private farms.
