Excellence in teaching and learning

We offer a portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development programmes. These are delivered either full-time, part-time or via conventional distance and interactive e-learning. RVC received the maximum score of 24 out of 24 in an assessment of teaching standards by the Quality Assurance Agency in February 2003. In 1999 it also became the first UK veterinary school to be accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Supporting the Veterinary Profession

The College's provides support for the veterinary profession through its three referral hospitals, diagnostic services and continuing professional development courses. The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals is the largest of its kind in Europe, receiving over 8,000 patients each year.

Innovation in the life sciences

RVC owns the London BioScience Innovation Centre, London's first centre for early stage life science companies, venture investors and others in this sector. This puts the College at the heart of biotechnology and other biomedical research in London and opens the door for research collaboration.
