Curricular lectures are integrated with practical classes and tutorials. Only veterinarians are admitted. Admission is limited in number and subject to entry examination. Currently postgraduate courses are activated in:- Food of animal origin inspection and safety
- Swine diseases
- Animal health, management and production
Ph.D. («RESEARCH DOCTORATE»)
Financed with fellowships or bursaries, are awarded by this Faculty or registered with other Italian Universities. Currently Research Doctorates courses are activated in:
- Italian and European legislation on production and safety of food of animal origin
- Orthopaedics of domestic animals
- Animal productions, veterinary biotechnologies, quality and safety of food of animal origin
- Animal health

By the academic year 2001/02, the arrangement of the course of degree in Veterinary Medicine has been modified according to a new government law and in agreement with the suggestions of the European Union.
The new arrangement has been established for the student of the 1st year of the Course in October 2001; beginning with October 2002, the full five-years course has been fully established for all the students.
