Duration
The training program in Veterinary lasts for five years and six months, corresponding to 11 semesters, of which ten are devoted to the academic part and the final culmination of the work studies.
The course lasts for 4970 hours total, of which 4090 are dedicated to the course work, 400 hours work culmination of 480 hours of study and production practices or activities July (Aju's).
Structure
1. Basic Cycle
The contents are organized by disciplines quarterly or annual, taught simultaneously and grouped by levels corresponding to the number of school years of the course. Lasts six semesters, corresponding to 2416 teaching hours. This cycle consists of 34 subjects, of which 32 are two and half year, 7 general, five basic, basic 20-2 specific and complementary.
2. Cycle Clinical / Zootechnics
The contents are organized by subjects taught in blocks and sequentially, with a length equal to the sum of time in the curriculum set out in thematic plans of each discipline. It lasts four semesters, corresponding to 1674 hours teaching. This cycle consists of 15 specific courses in areas of Veterinary Medicine, Public Health and Animal Production, and are organized in blocks.
3. Completion of studies
It is held in the last last semester. The duration has 400 hours. The culmination of this analysis can be made in the shape of an internship or a research project, culminating in the written presentation of results and oral defense of them.
3. Production Practices
Production practices are performed by students from 1st to 4th year and will take place over a period of three weeks, the months of January or July. Have a total duration of 480 hours (120 hours per year). The college ensures compatibility between content production practices and academic year students.
